MOORESVILLE – The North Piedmont 3A-4A softball tournament title game, scheduled Thursday at 6 p.m. at Lake Norman High, pits fourth-seeded West Iredell against No. 2 Mooresville.
West Iredell knocked off top-seeded Alexander Central 5-4 in the early semifinal on Wednesday at Lake Norman and Mooresville beat No. 3 Lake Norman 10-8 on a walk-off home run in the late semifinal.
West Iredell is 12-7 overall and Mooresville is 17-3 overall.
Mooresville swept the Warriors in the regular season, winning 3-2 at Mooresville and 7-2 at West Iredell.
