HUDSON – South Caldwell High remained unbeaten in the Northwestern 3A-4A in girls’ softball on Wednesday with a 12-2, five-inning home win over St. Stephens.
The Spartans improved to 9-0 in league play and they continue as the only team in the region’s four leagues that has not lost a conference game this season.
St. Stephens dipped to 6-6 in the league after entering the game in fourth place.
Head coach Casey Justice’s Spartans have a makeup conference game scheduled Thursday at 6 p.m. at Hibriten.
St. Stephens’ next game is a non-conference battle with South Iredell on April 24 in Hickory.
