HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER: N. Lincoln nips St. Stephens, snaps skid at 5

HICKORY – North Lincoln High snapped a five-match losing streak on Friday with a 4-1 girls’ soccer victory over St. Stephens on the road.

The Knights (7-10-3) were outscored 23-2 in that stretch of losing five in a row. They finished 3-10-1 in the North Piedmont 3A-4A and in sixth place.

The loss sent the Indians (9-11-1) to their fourth straight loss – and sixth in seven matches – and they finished 5-9-0 in the Northwestern 3A-4A and in sixth place.
