HALL OF FAME: Cleveland County adds Mack, Scott to their list of bests

Kevin Mack (34) was a star running back at Kings Mountain who became a starter in the NFL with the Browns and gained more than 5,000 yards in nine seasons.

SHELBY — Two of the inductees on Tuesday night into the Cleveland County Sports Hall of Fame were star high school football players from the past who played at Kings Mountain and Burns.

Running back Kevin Mack of Kings Mountain and defensive back Tony Scott of Burns were college stars who then had successful careers in the NFL, Mack with the Cleveland Browns and Scott with the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks.
