HICKORY – The No Days Off Mini-Camp will have a special speaker on Saturday at St. Stephens High.

Local coach Randy Dillingham, who coordinates those camps focused on speed and agility training, is bringing in former Bandys and North Carolina basketball player Erica Turner as a speaker for Saturday’s session.

All of the camps are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with an additional camp scheduled May 27 at St. Stephens.

Turner will attend this Saturday’s workouts. She was a star basketball player at Bandys who led the Trojans to a state championship and she then played college basketball at North Carolina before transferring to N.C. A&T.

Turner — whose tenure in Catawba County includes a stint as an assistant principal and athletic director at Newton-Conover — is currently the principal at Rocky River High.
