Lake Norman High will play for a baseball tournament championship on Monday night.
The Wildcats got there on Saturday by beating Mount Pleasant 7-3 in a semifinal of the F&W Classic at Intimidators Stadium in Kannapolis.
Lake Norman (16-3) will face Carson on Monday at 6:30 p.m. for the title. Carson beat Salisbury 6-2 and then A.L. Brown 3-2 in the semifinals to advance.
Lake Norman won its opener in the tournament on Friday, nipping South Rowan 1-0.
South Iredell 5, Central Cabarrus 2: South Iredell snapped its losing streak at three and won their 10th game of the season by downing Central Cabarrus in the East Rowan Spring Break tournament.
South Iredell (10-7) will face host East Rowan in a semifinal on Monday at 7 p.m. The other semifinal pits West Rowan against the Greater Cabarrus Stallions.
West Rowan 7, West Iredell 0: The Falcons clipped the Warriors in the East Rowan Spring Break tournament.
West Rowan advances to play the Greater Cabarrus Stallions in a semifinal on Monday, while West Iredell meets the Charlotte Stampede in a consolation game Monday at 10 a.m.
