The Bears are tied with Newberry (S.C.) for sixth place, one game back of fifth-place Lincoln Memorial and two back of fourth-place Tusculum. Anderson (S.C.) is 18-0 in the league and five games up in the loss column on Catawba and Wingate.

The top four teams in the conference get home games for the league tournament on March 6.

On Saturday, Weigt scored 20 points — making six 3-pointers — while senior guard Kendall Toineeta added 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

The game-winning shot came after an offensive rebound by Madeline Hardy, who got the ball out of Weigt, a sophomore guard from Manteno, Ill.
