HICKORY – The kickoff time for Florida Tech at Lenoir-Rhyne University in the NCAA Division II football playoffs is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday.

LRU officials announced the game time on Monday, a day after the Bears (10-1) received news they are the No. 3 seed in Super Regional Two.

Florida Tech (8-3) is a No. 6 seed.

LRU is riding a 10-game win streak and went unbeaten (7-0) to win the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) championship in head coach Drew Cronic’s first season at the school.

The Bears last made the postseason in 2014, losing to Valdosta State.

A first-round win would net the Bears a game against No. 7 seed Wingate (8-3) or No. 2 seed West Georgia (10-1).

The other first-round game in Super Regional Two has N. 5 West Alabama (8-3) visiting No. 4 Bowie State (9-1) and that winner advances to play at No. 1 Valdosta State (10-0).

There are four Super Regionals, with teams advancing to second round games on Nov. 24, third round games on Dec. 1 and the semifinals on Dec. 8.

The NCAA Division II championship game is Dec. 15 at McKinney, Tex.

Tickets for Saturday’s playoff opener will be on sale Monday through Friday in the lobby of Shuford Gym or they can be purchase by phone at (828) 328-7116 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and tickets will be available at the gate.

Bears Club season ticket holders have first right to buy their same seats until Tuesday at 5 p.m. Tickets left after that deadline will be available for public purchase.

Reserve seats are $20, general admission is $15 and non-LRU students and children seats are $3.

LRU students will get into the game free with their ID.

Bears Club parking passes will be accepted for the practice field, as usual for home game, with weather permitting.
