WOMEN’S COLLEGE X-C: Lenoir-Rhyne’s Kiplagat wins league’s weekly award

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference (SAC) has named Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Domtila Kiplagat as its top runner in women’s cross country for the week of Sept. 24-30.

Kiplagat, a senior from Eloret, Kenya, set a new LRU 5K record at the Queens Invitational last week. Her time of 18:06 broke the Bears’ previous mark and was the top time by a SAC runner at the event.

Overall, Kiplagat finished 12^th and helped lead the Bears to an 11^th place finish.
