ROCK HILL, S.C. – A victory in the 400-meter dash last week at the Catamount Classic netted freshman Saidah Hardwick of Lenoir-Rhyne University an award in outdoor track and field.
Hardwick, who is from Rolesville, on Tuesday was selected as the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) South Atlantic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
She won the women’s 400-meter dash in a school-record time of 56.15 seconds last weekend in the Classic at Western Carolina. Hardwick was also part of the Bears’ 400-meter relay squad that finished second (46.68 seconds).
LRU’s track and field teams will next compete in the SAC Outdoor Championships on April 19-20 at the Irwin Belk Track at Johnson C. Smith University.
