HARROGATE, Tenn. – Rachel Fischer had the only goal of a South Atlantic Conference (SAC) women’s soccer match on Saturday as Lenoir-Rhyne University nipped Lincoln Memorial 1-0.
Fischer scored on an assist by Christina Shimshock off a free kick at the 82:28 mark as the Bears improved to 4-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the SAC.
Lincoln Memorial dropped to 4-4, 0-3-0.
The Bears led in shots 17-2.
Brooke Taylor had four saves for Lincoln Memorial.
LRU’s next match, a non-league battle with Lees-McRae is Wednesday at 7 p.m.
