MONROE – Abbey Hartsell is tied for fourth place and Lenoir-Rhyne University’s women share third place after one round of the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge at the Rolling Hills Country Club.
Hartsell, a junior from Taylorsville, shot a 4-over par 76 on Monday while the Bears came in a 24-over par 312.
The tournament’s final round is Tuesday.
Dominika Czudkova of Lincoln Memorial leads the individual standings on a par-72, 5,968-yard course with an even par 72.
Lincoln Memorial leads the team standings at 20-over par 308.
Junior Chelsea Mansel and sophomore Laura Morrison of LRU share 12th place after firing rounds of 6-over par 78.
