HARTSELL
SALISBURY – Abbey Hartsell finished second and teammate Chelsea Mansel tied for third as the Lenoir-Rhyne University women’s golf team won the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday.
Hartsell, a junior from Taylorsville, finished at 2-under par 142 and Mansel, from Greer, S.C., shot a 143 as the Bears closed at 14-over par 590 to edge Limestone by 11 strokes at the Country Club of Salisbury.
Megan Sabol of North Georgia won the two-day tournament with a 5-under 139.
LRU finishes its fall golf season on Tuesday by playing in the Leeann Noble Memorial in Dahlonega, Ga.
