NEWTON – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s men finished fifth on Saturday at the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) championships at Southside Park.
Junior Corbin Boyles had the highest finish for the Bears, 16th in 25 minutes, 55 seconds, and senior Jacob Black placed 18th in 26:08.
Queens, ranked No. 10 in NCAA Division II, won its second league title in three years with seven runners in the top 12. The Royals’ Tom Bains won the individual 8K race in 24:28.
LRU will compete in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals on Nov. 4 at Wingate.
