MEN’S COLLEGE GOLF: Ace by Vogler leads Bears to seventh-place finish in Tennessee

LOUDON, Tenn. – A hole-in-one by senior Jordan Vogler highlighted a seventh-place finish by the Lenoir-Rhyne University men on Wednesday as they closed play in the Tennessee River Rumble Intercollegiate.

The Bears moved up four spots, finishing at 37-over par 613, at the Tennessee National Golf Club.

Carson-Newman won the tournament, moving from a ninth-place tie after Tuesday’s opening round, to a 26-over par 602 to win.

Vogler, a senior from Pilot Mountain, aces a par-3, 198-yard third hole.

LRU junior Brad Robinson finished seventh at 7-over par 151, finishing five strokes back of individual winner Dan Bradbury of Lincoln Memorial.

LRU’s next competition comes in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Championships on Sunday through Tuesday at the Cobbs Glen Country Club in Anderson, S.C.
