HICKORY – Lenoir-Rhyne University ended a six-match losing streak and reached .500 on Friday night by beating visiting Francis Marion 3-0.
The Bears won 25-17, 25-198, 25-13 at Shuford Gym to even their record at 8-8 and leaves the Patriots at 6-11.
Freshman outside hitter Taylor Prall led LRU with 14 kills and another freshman, Maggie Bogart, had 10 kills.
Kalaya Arthur led Francis Marion with 12 kills.
The Bears’ next match is Friday in Greenville, Tenn., a South Atlantic Conference (SAC) battle with Tusculum.
