HICKORY – Lenoir-Rhyne University has made changes for the weekend in schedules for its baseball and women’s softball teams.
Baseball
The Bears will now play a Friday doubleheader and one game on Saturday against West Virginia State.
Friday’s games will be seven innings each and the first game is at 3 p.m., while the game on Saturday begins at 11 a.m.
The scheduled changes were made because of the weather forecast, LRU officials said in a press release.
Softball
The third annual Bear Bash won’t be played so LRU will face Lees-McRae in a doubleheader on Friday with a 2 p.m. start.
The change was also made because of the weekend weather forecast.
