PHILADELPHIA — Hunter Harvey pitched one inning on Saturday as one of seven Washington Nationals pitchers in an 11-5 loss at Philadelphia.
Harvey, a right-handed reliever and former first-round draft pick out of Bandys High, came on in the fifth inning and gave up two hits, no runs and struck out two.
He was the fourth Nats pitcher and threw strikes on 14 of 19 pitches to five batters before a crowd of 27,078.
He did not pitch on Sunday in Philadelphia.
After 15 appearances this season, Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.63 with 16 strikeouts in 13 2/3 inning. He is 1-2 in the big leagues career-wise with an ERA of 3.13 in 41 games with 39 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings.
Washington has a three-games series in Chicago starting Monday and is at home against San Diego on Thursday through Sunday.
