BALTIMORE — Former Bandys High star pitcher Hunter Harvey, elevated to the major league roster on Monday by the Baltimore Orioles, did not later pitch in the game played in Baltimore against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Harvey would have likely gotten the call out of the bullpen to make his major league debut had the Orioles been in position for a relief pitcher to work several innings.
Toronto took a 2-1 lead into the ninth and scored five runs en route to a 7-1 victory.
The Blue Jays and Orioles play Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in Baltimore and again at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. After a day off on Thursday, the Orioles go to Boston to begin a series there and their next series after that will be at Detroit.
