WASHINGTON, D.C. — A report says Washington reliever Hunter Harvey, out with a tricep strain, could be back in the Washington Nationals’  lineup this week.

A report on Rotowire did not indicate a source for the news on Harvey but said his return date could be Thursday, when Washington opens a home series against Colorado.

Harvey has been on the 10-day disabled list since April 21, first leaving because of a right pronator strain and is now dealing with his tricep.

He is a right-handed reliever who played at Bandys High and was a first-round draft pick in 2013 by the Baltimore Orioles.

Since last season, Harvey was placed on waivers by Baltimore and picked up by the San Francisco Giants. After the Giants took him off their 40-man roster, he was claimed off waivers by the Nationals.

Harvey opened the season in Triple A and was there only a few days before being called back to the Nationals.
