Hunter Harvey’s most recent outings were last Thursday and Sunday for the Washington Nationals, who are currently in Seattle for a series.
Harvey, a former Bandys High star, threw two-thirds of an inning last Thursday when the Nats beat the host San Diego Padres 3-1, and he also got into Sunday’s game won 2-1 by the Padres.
As Washington headed to Seattle, Harvey was 0-0 with an ERA of 3.15 for the season with 21 strikeouts in 20 1/3 innings pitched.
On Thursday, he was the third of six pitchers used by the Nats. In his two-thirds inning, he allowed one hit, walked one and struck out one, throwing strikes on 13 of 25 pitches and facing four batters.
On Sunday, he worked 1 2/3 innings with no hits, on runs or walks and one strikeout.
Harvey threw strikes on 12 of 17 pitches on Sunday, facing four batters.
He has now appeared in 47 major league games, has a 1-2 record, a 3.30 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings.
