DEAL

Hayden Deal is off the 7-day disabled list after 18 days, placed back on the Mississippi Braves’ active list on Tuesday.

The Braves did not release anything about the injury that sidelined Deal, a left-handed reliever who starred at Bandys High.

He went on the DL list on Aug. 4.

Deal last pitched on July 28 at Pensacola (Fla.) and returns with a record of 3-2 this season. He has an ERA of 3.62 in 24 games with 45 strikeouts in 49 2/3 innings.

The Braves (52-62, 23-22 second half) are in Birmingham (Ala.) for games through Sunday. After an off day on Monday, Mississippi will be at home for a six-game series against Chattanooga (Tenn.) that begins on Tuesday.

Deal has pitched in 111 pro games, going 23-17 with an ERA of 3.19, and he has 325 strikeouts in 366 2/3 innings.
