MAIDEN – Led by Zoe Huffman winning a singles title, Maiden High captured the South Fork 2A girls’ tennis tournament title on Thursday at Maiden.
Huffman beat Zoe Panizza of Lake Norman Charter 6-1, 6-1 in the singles championship to help the Blue Devils scored 11 ½ points and edge Lake Norman Charter by two points.
The Lake Norman Charter team of Lauren Bush and Annie Thomas won doubles, beating Maiden’s Gracie Arrowood and Easton Finger 6-3, 7-5.
