Hibriten wins West 1A/2A team title;
Lake Norman Charter takes Central 1A/2A

LENOIR – Kayla Lang won the West 1A/2A girls’ golf regional individual title on Monday, shooting a 71 as Maiden High finished second to Hibriten.
Hibriten shot 289, led by a round of 90 by Gracie Church at the Cedar Rock Country Club, to edge Maiden by five strokes and Avery County by seven strokes.
Lang’s round was 10 strokes better than second-place Ellie Martin of Murphy (81) and Madison Logan of Hayesville (82) was third and Camyrn Lamp of Newton-Conover (85) finished fourth.
The state tournaments are next week.
Lake Norman Charter takes Central 1A/2A title
ELKIN – South Fork 2A champion Lake Norman Charter captured the Central 1A/2A Regional title at Cedarbrook Country Club, edging Grey Stone Day by two strokes and Oak Grove by four.
Josie Fisher led the Knights with a round of 87 while Georgia Chapman had a 92 and Tess Palmer shot 99 for Lake Norman Charter.
Winston-Salem Reagan wins West 4A
MOORESVILLE — Winston-Salem Reagan shot 225 at the Mooresville Golf Club, winning the West 4A regional by 20 strokes over Ardrey Kell.
McDowell finished tied for 10th in the team standings with West Forsyth at 290.
Sasha Hayes of Reagan won the individual title with a round of 65, finishing eight strokes ahead of Chloe Pittman of Hough.
Tyler Price shot a 90 to lead McDowell.
