MORGANTON – Freedom High’s annual all-day “Super Saturday” girls’ varsity basketball scrimmages are just ahead.
The Patriots and 23 other teams converge Saturday at the main gym and practice gym at the high school and at the Table Rock Middle School gym for a full day of scrimmages that begin at 8:30 a.m.
Admission is $5 and good for watching games in any of the gyms.
Each team gets three scrimmages with certified officials and each scrimmage is two 16-minute blocks with the clocks running.
The first day of basketball practice was Oct. 31 and the schools can begin to play games on Nov. 19, a week from Monday.
