RALEIGH — Cardinal Gibbons High won its first state football title on Saturday, edging Chambers 14-2 for the 4A title at N.C. State.
Cardinal Gibbons (14-2) was the third seed in the East bracket.
Chambers (14-2) won the West bracket as a No. 10 seed.
