CHAPEL HILL — Tarboro High added another state 1A football title to its trophy case on Saturday, beating Mitchell County 28-7 at UNC’s Kenan Stadium for that crown.
Tarboro, top seed in the East, finished 14-1.
Mitchell County, seeded third in the West, finished 13-3.
