PLAYOFF NOTES
Maiden finished 12-2 and was playing in the fourth round for the eighth time… Reidsville is 13-1 and will be at home in the West 2A final next Friday against No. 3 Burns (13-1)… It was the first meeting in postseason football between Maiden and Reidsville … Maiden is now 59-43 all-time in the state football playoffs, 17-22 in road games… The Blue Devils had an opportunity to become only the third MHS football team with 13 or more wins (13-1 last season, 14-1 in 2004 and 1992)… At 25-3 the past two seasons, the Blue Devils have matched the best record in back-to-back years (the 1992 and 1993 teams were 25-4).
