HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: Barry steps down as Watauga’s varsity head coach

BOONE — After two seasons of being head coach of both varsity basketball teams at Watauga High, Laura Barry will coach only the varsity girls’ team next season.

Barry has coached the Watauga girls for five seasons. They went 1-9 in the Northwestern 3A-4A this season and 1-11 overall.

The Watauga boys were 2-9 in the conference and 3-9 overall this season and 7-15 overall in her first season as head coach.
