DENVER, N.C. –The East Lincoln Winter Jam girls’ basketball tournament bracket has been revised a second time, adding Vance High over the weekend to return the field to eight teams.
Vance moves into the field after Lincoln Charter, originally a No. 5 seed, was no longer listed in the field and the bracket – and some seeds – were redone.
The tournament is Thursday through Saturday at East Lincoln High.
The second change resulted in Hickory Ridge, originally the top seed and then having a bye in the first revision, now playing No. 8 Robinson in the opening round.
Other first-round games and seeds are now: No. 2 Davidson Day versus No. 7 Northwest Cabarrus at 1 p.m. on Thursday, No 5 Vance facing No. 4 Forestview at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, and No. 6 East Lincoln against No. 3 North Mecklenburg at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The tournament will play to a seventh-place team as originally planned, and it will be a 12-game tournament.
There have been no changes to the original boys’ tournament bracket.
