Notes: Newton-Conover adds tournament title to its regular season title … The Red Devils have won 22 straight games … The Trojans had won five straight games … Newton-Conover has the top seed into the state 2A playoffs and Bandys owns the other automatic bid from the league … The Red Devils also beat the Trojans 68-33 in Newton and 71-59 at Bandys … The teams met in a league tournament title game for the 11th time with Newton-Conover up 6-5 in those games … The Red Devils have beaten the Trojans nine straight times after losing nine straight in the series since 1970-71 with Bandys leading the all-time series 73-50 after winning the first 26 games.
