Notes: Hickory runs its win streak to eight straight games and ends a 15-game winning streak by Freedom …Freedom has the top 3A seed from the league and Hickory has the No. 2 3A seed, with state playoff seeds and pairings for Tuesday’s first round due out on Saturday … The Red Tornadoes are 11-1 at home this season … Freedom beat Hickory twice in the regular season, 65-57 in Morganton and 76-60 at Hickory … Hickory has won at least 20 games in five straight seasons and in 11 of the last 12 seasons … Freedom is playoff-bound for the 13th consecutive season, all under head coach Casey Rogers …Andy Poplin, in his sixth season at Hickory, has a record of 135-33.
