HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: N. Davidson star leads All-State 4A team

GREENSBORO – The North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (NCBCA) all-state 4A team for the 2017 season did not include any area players.

Austin Beck of North Davidson was named the state’s top 4A player for this season.

McDowell, which will return to a revamped Northwestern 3A-4A in August via statewide realignment in August, had one player — Canaan Silver – on the all-state team. He hit .338 as a senior for a team that went 14-12.
