NEWTON – The schedule of American Legion baseball games set for next Sunday at the Legion Fairgrounds has changed.
In an email on Sunday, Hickory Post 48 head coach Cameron Beard said games scheduled at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. next Sunday – Caldwell County versus Hammond, Tenn., and Hickory against Hammond, Tenn., respectively, won’t be played because Hammond will not have enough players on that playing date.
The three games scheduled at the Fairgrounds on Saturday will be played – Maiden versus Hammond at 1 p.m., Maiden versus Hickory at 4 p.m. and Hammond vs. Hickory at 7 p.m.
