MAIDEN – Athletes Lab has scheduled showcase tryouts for 15U and 16U baseball teams on Aug. 17 at the Maiden Recreation Department.
The tryouts are for fall 2019 and summer 2020 teams. The Lab will have a 15U/16U hybrid team, a 15U (2023) summer team and a 16U (2022) summer team.

Athletes Lab is an organization that works with players age 8 through 16 in the Catawba Valley and surrounding areas with Beard working closely with owner Grant Rembert, a former multiple-sport athletic star at Maiden High.
The organization plans to go from having four teams this summer to nine next season and to focus on helping baseball grow in the region.
