Hibriten High’s athletic department has announced defensive end Clyde Valentine (6-foot-3, 233 pounds) will play college football at Averett University, an NCAA Division III school in Danville (Va.). He played 28 varsity games in three seasons with the Panthers, making 49 solo tackles, 10 sacks, causing a fumble and recovering two fumbles.
