Hayden Deal’s next start for the red-hot Mississippi Braves will be Thursday night in Montgomery, Ala.
Mississippi rallied on Tuesday night to win at Montgomery 7-6 in the first game of a Double-A series.
The Braves (30-19) have won eight of their last 10 games and are in first place in the Double-A South’s South Division standings, one game up on Pensacola (Fla.).
Deal is 1-2 this season with an ERA of .302, and he went six innings in his last start but did not gain a decision.
Thursday’s first pitch is at 7:35 p.m.
Deal was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Braves after a tryout at the Bandys stadium. A Braves scout offered Deal a contract before Deal left Bandys that day.
When Deal will make his 11th start of the season will depend on the number of starters the Braves decide to use in their rotation.
