Former Bandys High star left-hander Hayden Deal was involved in a rare two-pitch inning while pitching in relief for the Rome (Ga.) Braves on Friday night.

Read more about the circumstances Deal found himself in and how quickly he made the pitch needed and then how quickly Rome scored to win the game over West Virginia.

It was all part of a situation created by a new rule in the minor leagues (South Atlantic League), with a runner at second base to start each inning and at-bat once a game goes beyond nine innings.
