BRADENTON, Fla. – With 11 games left on the schedule, ex-Bandys High and Presbyterian College pitcher Hayden Deal has two wins and two saves.

Deal, signed on the spot by the Atlanta Braves after a brief work out at Bandys, is 2-2 with an ERA of 4.30 after throwing in 12 games for the Gulf Coast League Braves.

He has pitched 23 innings, walked eight and has 19 strikeouts.

He pitched in relief last Friday against the GCL Yankees-West, allowing one hit. He walked two and struck out three.

In his last 10 appearances, Deal’s stats are: 1-2 record, ERA of 4.95, five walks and 16 strikeouts.

The Braves were 25-24 through Monday, one game behind the GCL Yankees-East in the division race.
