GREENSBORO — Rosters for the East-West All-Star boys’ basketball game have been released by the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA) with no players from Greater Hickory area conferences selected.
The game, sponsored by the NCCA as part of its annual East-West Week, is scheduled July 19 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Although teams were selected for last summer’s East-West Games none of those games were played and the annual coaching clinic was not held due to COVID-19 concerns.
The West head coach is again Sonny Schofield of Statesville.
The roster does include two players coached by Hickory native and Hickory High graduate Michael Craft, who is head coach at Ardrey Kell. Those players are 6-foot-3 guard Knoah Carver and 6-8 forward Peyton Gerald.
