EAST-WEST GIRLS BASKETBALL ALL-STARS: No area players make July’s game in Greensboro

GREENSBORO – Rosters for the East-West All-Star girls’ basketball game, part of East-West Week for the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA), have been released but no players from area league will be in the game.

A 10-player West roster selected by head coach Shane Slate of North Surry and his assistant, Brooke Stouder of Carson, did not have any players from the South Fork 2A, Northwestern Foothills 2A or Northwestern 3A-4A.

Northwest Guilford leads the West team with two players – guard Cayla King and center Elizabeth Kitley.

Southeast Raleigh Magnet has two players on an East squad selected by head coach David May of Pine Forest and assistant Mark Lane of East Duplin.

Guard Tamia Davis and forward Maya Johnson are from Southeast Raleigh Magnet.

The game is scheduled July 15 at the Greensboro Coliseum with a tip time of 6:30 p.m.
