HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey’s next start is scheduled for Wednesday against Richmond (Va.) at Bowie, but that could change since the Baysox had games rained out on Monday and Tuesday.

Bowie plays at Akron on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and starts a series at Erie on Monday.

Harvey made his second start of the season last Friday, going 2 1/3 innings against Akron in a game the Baysox eventually won 5-3. He gave up two hits, no runs, walked two and struck out one and he threw 55 pitches (30 for strikes) and faced 11 batters before a home crowd of 3,288.

Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.08, has given up four hits, one run (earned) with two walks and two strikeouts.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

ZACH JARRETT

Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star who starts in the outfield for the Shorebirds.

On Tuesday night, he went 1-for-4 with a double in a 3-2 home, seven-inning loss to Kannapolis.

Jarrett is hitting .310 in 16 games with five home runs and 10 RBIs and he’s hitting .316 in his last 10 games. His .310 average has him tied for 14th among South Atlantic League hitters.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a relief pitcher for the Braves, who won 2-0 on Tuesday over West Virginia on the road. He did not pitch on Tuesday.

He has pitched five innings and in two games this season with an ERA of 3.60 and one walk versus six strikeouts.
