CRAWDADS: Rained out Saturday, they play Augusta twice on Sunday

HICKORY – The Hickory Crawdads’ game on Saturday night was rained out and reset as part of a doubleheader on Sunday with a 3 p.m. start at L.P. Frans Stadium.

The Crawdads (29-43, 2-0 second half) face August (Ga.), 23-44 and 0-2 in the second half, twice on Sunday to close a South Atlantic League (SAL) baseball series.

Hickory goes into the twinbill a half-game behind Delmarva (Md.) in the SAL’s Northern Division.

The Crawdads are on the road all of next week, starting with a game on Monday night at Kannapolis, where they’ll play through Thursday.

On Friday, Hickory begins a series at West Virginia. The Crawdads play there through July 3 and then come back to L.P. Frans Stadium to begin a homestand on July 4.

The first game back at Frans if July 4 against Kannapolis, and Hickory starts another SAL series at home on July 7 against Delmarva.
