HICKORY – The Hickory Crawdads’ series opener against Greensboro on Monday night at L.P. Frans Stadium has been postponed by rain.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday, starting at 4:30 p.m., and they are also scheduled to play a final game in the series on Wednesday at noon.
Through Sunday night, the Crawdads were in first place in the South Atlantic League (SAL) Northern Division at 24-19 and one game up on Greensboro and Hagerstown (Md.), both 22-19, with West Virginia (22-21) two games back of the Crawdads and one game out of second place.
Hagerstown’s game on Monday night at Delmarva (Md.) was postponed, and West Virginia is playing Lakewood (N.J.) at home and the game was underway at 7:15 p.m.
