COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Ex-Cougars star Sherrill sets career hits record at Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER – Vada Blue Sherrill — a former softball star at Alexander Central High now playing for her father at Pfeiffer University — is now the career hits leader for the Falcons.

Sherrill, a senior, collected her 193^rd career college hit on Sunday in a home doubleheader sweep of Wilkes University.

Pfeiffer is off to an 8-0 start under head coach Monte Sherrill and next plays at Ferrum (Va.) on Sunday, a doubleheader with a 1 p.m. start.

The next home games for the Falcons are next Tuesday in a doubleheader (2 p.m.) against Salem.
