MOUNT OLIVE – Tanisha Wall and Shaniya Lester each scored 19 points on Tuesday night, leading Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) to a 77-61 women’s basketball victory over Mount Olive’s junior varsity.
The road victory was the third straight for the Red Hawks (4-1), who led 35-20 at the half after Wall had scored 12 points.
Lester helped CVCC extend its lead by scoring 13 of her 19 points in the second half, helping CVCC cruise to a non-conference victory.
Nikkyana McCaskill also reached double figures in scoring for the Red Hawks with 12 points.
The Red Hawks’ next game is Sunday at 1 p.m. against Converse’s junior varsity in Spartanburg, S.C.
