Head coach Shannon Hudson enters her 10th season when the Red Hawks play a home tri-match against Walters State and Spartanburg Methodist at the Tarlton Complex on Aug 28.

CVCC released its schedule on Wednesday and plays a 43-game schedule and in seven tournaments in six different states this season.

The season begins with a preseason home scrimmage on Aug. 18 with Queens University, Winston-Salem State, Milligan and Catawba College.

The Red Hawks are coming off a 28-9 overall record that includes going 15-0 to win the Region X championship.

“I am so excited about our 2018 schedule,” Hudson said in a press release. “It’s a busy schedule, but I think playing great competition makes us a better program and prepares us for tournament play at the end of the year.”

CVCC has won 111 consecutive Region X matches and starts league play this season on Sept. 5 at USC Salkehatchie. The Red Hawks haven’t lost a conference match since Oct. 8, 2011 (to Pitt Community College).
