MOUNT OLIVE – Ivy Eller and Sherry Johnson each scored 20 points on Wednesday night, leading Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) past Mount Olive’s junior varsity 101-26 in women’s basketball at Mount Olive.
The Red Hawks (4-1) led 51-11 at the half, paced by 16 points in the opening half by Johnson and 12 by Eller.
CVCC outscored Mount Olive 50-15 in the second half, led by Milequa Eason and Eller scoring eight points each.
Tazah Hardin and Zharia Brown had 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Red Hawks.
Carolina Grey led Mount Olive with eight points.
CVCC is idle until playing at USC Salkehatchie on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Allendale, S.C.
