CVCC has forfeited game against USC Union, now has 3-1 record

HICKORY—Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) has moved its home baseball debut up by one day and also adjusted its record through four games.
The Red Hawks will now face Lenoir-Rhyne University’s junior varsity team at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Legion Fairgrounds in Newton.
A weekend series at Walters State was postponed and rescheduled as a doubleheader on March 26 in Morristown, Tenn., with a 1 p.m. start.
The Red Hawks won their first four games but on Sunday their schedule reflected a 3-1 record and indicated the first game played on Feb. 10 against USC Union on the road is forfeited, 1-0.
No other details or reasons for the forfeit have been released or noted.
