CLAREMONT – Bunker Hill High gained head coach Kelsey Dettman her 100th career volleyball victory on Saturday, downing visiting St. Stephens 3-0.

The Bears won 27-25, 25-20 and 27-25 as Sarah Houston and Brooke Falowski led the way. Houston had 10 kills and nine digs and Falowski provided 11 assists and nine digs.

Chloe Falowsk added 10 digs, Ally Fair had 12 assists and eight digs, Crystany White made five kills and 11 digs and Payton Bryant contributed five kills and 12 digs for the Bears.

South Iredell defeated Bunker Hill 25-19, 25-10 and 25-22 on Saturday.

South Iredell also beat St. Stephens at Bunker Hill, winning 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

Dettman is in her sixth season as head coach at Bunker Hill after serving as junior varsity head coach from 2010-12.

The Bears, 8-7 overall, return to Northwestern Foothills 2A play on Monday, facing Fred T. Foard at 6 p.m.

Bunker Hill is 4-3 in league play and in fourth place behind Fred T. Foard and West Iredell, both 6-0, and East Burke (4-2).
